I can't believe they made fun of the Yaris. It's one of my favorite cars that I own. Right behind my HPF Turbo M3. And no, I'm not being sarcastic. That lil Yaris would absolutely own at an autocross with the amount of suspension work that I've put in.

*I* can't believe you'd even remotely be able to compare the two in fun factor. I mean... come on... TURBO M3? No matter how sick it is for a Yaris, and no matter how many suspension parts you throw at it, it's still a Yaris.

a) there is more than one direction you can have fun driving a car in, and

It's 2 different types of fun.

The M3 is retarded in a straight line (750hp will do that lol), but in corners, it's a lot of work to keep it on the road. Your throttle inputs are completely whacked because you have to worry a bit about turbo lag and jab the throttle before the apex, and when the power hits... well, make sure you have mad skillz lol. The power comes on hard, and in the sweet spot, there is no part throttle. It's like an on off switch. You can make small mistakes mid corner and it won't punish your exit speed because of the power. Consistency definately isn't this car's strong point. It's basically a glorified drag car IMO. Well, a drag car that sucks at launches haha.

In the Yaris, well... my Yaris (stock suspension blows) it's a very neutral handling car. At the limit, you can control cornering attitude with the throttle. Ease off a little, and the car tucks a little tighter into the corner. Because it's got no power, it forces you to drive cleanly. Make a mistake, and you're losing a LOT of exit speed. I drove the car for about 4 months before I gave it to my bro (it was after all his bday present), and in those 4 months it was almost like relearning how to drive smooth to go fast. I've been spoiled the last 10 years with big HP cars, which doesn't need smooth inputs. You can clearly see that in a LOT of my track vids . And because of how light the car is, I can take slower corners WAY faster than my M3. It's got more grip and no understeer in ~60k corners.
