    Default The Coup:review

    - The Coup
    - Location 17th Ave Downtown
    - Food rating 4/5
    - Ambience 5/5
    - Service 4/5

The wait is ridiculous and not totally worth it for the food. But the ambience is amazing though. Small restaurant with a live dj when we went to eat. We waited over an hour for a table and the line was only to the door. Hot as hell in there with big windows they could of opened. Yam wedges are amazing. Organic wine was very good as well. Service was as good as you'd expect for a busy restaurant. Bathrooms were very clean. My girlfriend has a wrap which had beets in it. I had a vegetarian quesadilla which left alot to be desired.

Like i said very good wine, good yam fries but the actual food is not the best for people who aren't vegetarians since this is a vegetarian restaurant.

I would go again on the patio during the summer for a glass of wine and some yam fries maybe but nothing more.

DJ was a nice touch since it was a nice change from god damned satellite radio stations most restaurants use.

the wine and yam fries are the reason for this rating. also the hummus was very good. My entree was good but not the best. My gf's wasn't that bad. Again not the best.

But the 4/5 was warranted due to cheap appetizers and very good wine.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

will do. I doubt we'll go back for more than a drink. We don't like to go to the same place twice.

    And McDonald's what a joke...you frikin idiot it's all about Wendy's haha.

At least it didn't cost me 500$ for lunch....

Shouldn't you be rating food that was prepared there? (ie. not wine).

Wine is important to me. The fact they had organic wines was pretty awesome. Most restaurants all have the same wines or very similar choices. I consider the choice of wine to be part of the experience of eating anywhere. Same as let's say Bottlescrew Bill's having an immense amount of beers.

    I concur with ya LadyLuck...

    Ambience was cool 3.89/5
Service was polite and professional 4.37/5
Food, I'm bias, just not a vegan. Still farting air bubbles probably from body being shocked by the overload fiber intake. Still peeing red from the beets 2.69/5

    Definitely didn't like the tofu

    Awesome berry smoothie

Non vegans stay away though, the entire time you'd be chanting where's the beef.

They have a Vietnamese style sandwich that is really good! Haven't tried much else on the menu though!

Unless you are a vegan, homo or a hipster this is not a place you should venture.
