Beyond Badminton, what's up?

Where's everyone playing at these days?

my badminton days are down to once a week at the Sunridge Badminton Centre. still play the tournaments though!

That will probably be my buddies. I am not very aggressive any longer so I do not perform with them. They go there quite often so you will probably see them again.

I'd like to play some more Beyond Badminton again.

With more interest/players, could be really fun.

ClearOne Badminton up near Country Hills Blvd/Deerfoot Trail.

$15.75 membership with 3 free drop ins. Cheap rates too.

I'd play at Sunridge too, but never been there yet.

Beyond badminton has all but died. I think a few still go but I've managed to switch 3/4 of them over to hockey.

People still play, but no more organized beyond badminton. That's dead. Sam killed it.

I brought topmade out to Sunday mornings at SBC. I'm pretty sure he still goes, whereas I've been to lazy to get off my ass hahaha

Yup still play there Sunday mornings from 9-12. Very friendly group that will play with anyone, unlike some people. There is a good range of skill levels and anyone is welcome to come and join. They also play friday nights from 5-8 but the last few times I've gone the show up was minimal. We also play at Clearone from 10-1 on Saturdays if anyone is interested.

is it a group that books courts on sunday morning? or does everyone just pay the drop-in fee and play together? i've been looking for another day that i can play and sunday morning was one i never considered.

what do you use? plastic or feather shuttles?

We pay drop-in and play together. We used to book at the start when Sunridge opened but it's cheaper to just pay drop-in. We mainly play plastics but sometimes some of the guys use feathers.
