Flamingo is dead center. Good location, try and get a decent room. It's an older hotel but some of the rooms are decent.

I've found driving around the strip a PAIN IN THE ASS. The parking lots are always way the hell in behind the strip. You have to drive 3 blocks just to get there, and then walk forever to get into the casino. Then you go out for dinner and have to worry about drinking and driving back to the hotel.

Nope...I want to walk out the main entrance. Snap my fingers and within 5 seconds I'm on the road to my next destination. I get dropped off right at the front entrance at every casino. Baller! Pffft....I'd MUCH rather fork out the money to be driven everywhere.

The only time we enjoyed renting a car was when we ditched the strip and went to Red Rock Canyon, The Dam, outside the city etc. But when partying on the strip...cab FTW!!!

Flamingo's a great location, just like everyone has said. If you want, try for a Go Room because it's a lot nicer than the regular rooms. The regular rooms are fine, and are the best value, imo.

Flamingo has a great location, as others said make sure you get a decent room, some of my friends stayed there last time and the room was shit, mind they paid next to nothing for it.
The pool there is so much fun, I highly recommend it! so ya as long as you get a decent room its a great hotel.

i HIGHLY recommend "BLONDIES" its a pub at the Planet Hollywood mall, every Thursday they have all you can drink beer for 20 bucks, it makes for a great start of the night.

if you are into partying i recommend the party bus at:

    http://www.clubvivalasvegas.com/

    awesome prices and quality....

Thank god, I'm not the only one that knows about Blondies. Me and my buddies found that place a couple years ago and the allyou can drink bud was awesome

No way man, being driven around by some cabbie while I sit back and gawk at the sights of Vegas is the way to go for this owboy. Tie my hotel and room number around my neck and roll me into the cab when im too drunk to speak.

In my defense you didn't mention anything about being drunk.

So the lesson here is: If you're a lush like Dave, take a cab.

I would recommend buying a bus pass. You can get a 24 hour pass for $7 per adult and it takes you anywhere you need to go that is popular. We went to both outlet malls (North is better), Pawn Stars shop, Freemont Street and some other stuff. When you get to the airport, you can buy a return pass for $12/person as well for the shuttle. Door # 9. Company name is slipping my mind. I didn't go to Vegas to save money, but if you save on things like transportation, you can spend more on shopping, food, gambling etc. Also, no matter what your budget is, you will exceed it for sure. We did, but well worth it.

I hate driving on the strip, especially weekends. Too fucking busy. I prefer to walk, and from Flamingo, you can walk anywhere.

But I also like to have a car for when you wanna see something further away, drive to Hoover Damn, go to Primm to shop for your mom or gf etc...

4 day car rental in a cheap car will run ya $100 taxes in.

Was there the other weekend, stayed at the Flamingo this time, shitty room but was barely in it so meh. No need for a car unless you plan on going outside the city. Everything you want is on the strip sans outlet malls to which I wasn't there for. Only time I took a cab was to get to and from the strip club.

Strip Clubs will provide a Limo 9/10 for you for free if you call ahead of time, you'll also get to skip the line and cover

You do not need a rental car in Vegas.
You absolutely do not need a bus pass in Vegas.

Any excursion you might want to do off strip, or from end to end get a cab, but I'm sure this point has been hammered in above.

This is the best program. if you have more than two people, and you want to go to the rippers, call ahead and get the limo. They'll pick you up anywhere. Tip that limo driver. We even got one to drive us from downtown to our hotel one night for free, since she wasn't busy with another call.

If you are the kind of pople who spend most of your money and time in those clubs, the second night you call, they'll have a nice table waiting for you.

Spearmint is good, but I have had some excellent times at Treasures. The house manager last time I was there got to know our little crew pretty well over the five days we were down. I love the customer service in that town.

As far as I am concerned, none of the other clubs are worth going to.

I'm on dave's program too, I drink quite a bit in that town, so driving is a poor option.

Spearmint is really good. I liked Sapphires too. Crazy Horse 3 (I think) was okay.

Well the wife and I are going for the first time in January. We were thinking of renting a car to avoid cabs but the best deal I could find was $160.00 for 4 days. Seemed a little crazy to me.

We are staying at The Mirage. Hope it is going to be good. So many stories and we are only staying for 4 days so not sure how much we are going to get done.

Two things we want to do for sure:

    - Hoover Dam
    - The Exotic Experience

Anyone have any tips for the exotic experience? I was thinking of doing the 10 laps 2 car thing.

What about just renting a car for one day? We did that for the day we went out to Hoover Dam. It's a lot better in hot weather, but still a nice day trip.
Mirage is nice and central, so for all the strip stuff, you can walk everywhere. There's so much to see and do. You'll love it. Best tip I can give you and the better-half? BRING COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES!!!!!

We were thinking about renting a car for 1 day but if it is $60.00 we thought that for the cab we could save on it may be worth it. Not sure what is going to be the best.

Thanks yeah this is going to be fun.
