Default What the heck did I get myself into!

Got myself into the biggest mod project of the year! Massive home Reno and living through it too!

So big I started a blog about it!

Some of you know what I've got into, and many of you will hold some serious opinions on what I'm doing.

But everyone can live through my experiences as I update, and learn from any mistakes I do.

Follow and share if you like!

Im already 2 weeks behind on the blog, but will try to catch-up when I can!

I don't have much of a life right now,... Work during the day,... Work at night on the house,... Rinse and repeat the next day.

    Blog update:

Somewhere in your blog you said you "moved in", I assume to start the work, and not to actually live there? Or did you sell your old place?

    Thx for the comments!

We are far from finished and have started moving in already.

Got to be in by the 30th.

Should make for an interesting story for you all to read!

Hopefully I have an update to the blog in the next day.

What are you doing to upgrade the insulation in the walls and roof?

Did you have the walls checked for asbestos? We just rebuild our house (1910) and it cost us quite alot for the abatement as all the walls and cielings had asbestos in the lap and plaster.

Looks good but I hope you are getting that wiring inspected cause it doesn't look to code especially when you are just running wires through closed off walls. It doesnt look like they are pinned down in any way. If you are planning to flip it, I'd make sure everything is properly inspected. But once again looks like an awesome project.

No one full understands the hours spent on a reno like this until they've done one themselves and doing 90% of the labour themselves.

Excellent! I love seeing others' ideas and plans coming together.

When you're done, when someone says, they did a reno and you find out they just changed the carpet, painted the walls and put in new cabinets, you'll laugh.
I just don't see that as being a reno anymore, I see that as a weekend project.

It is going to be a beautiful home. I was in a old renovated house a couple weeks ago and got a bit envious of it.
