I'm thinking second week of April, weather dependent. I've got to do like... 3 or 4 over seeds this year to fix my lawn haha.
Advice?

Considering how green my lawn is already I might start fairly soon lol.
I water my lawn zero times per year. If I needed to overseed I would do that in may and water afterwards twice per week for three weeks max.

Normally in May but this year a bit different may be. I do put first application of fertilizer on in April though.
Never, water is for drinking.
Usually late April, early May. From then on I water it weekly, less if we've gotten enough rain. Basically water frequently enough to keep it nice and green.
We live in Canada, where there is enough water to drink AND put on our grass, might as well do both haha.
Any tips for overseeding and product?
Get some solid watering in for late April early May, get the grass all green then let it ride for the rest of the summer with minimal upkeep.
I dunno about you but the ground is still frozen at my house, at least in the backyard, I haven't checked the front

Considering that Shane at Gold Rush Landscaping just told me to hold off on power raking and dethatching my lawn, I'd say watering isn't going to do much either.
There will be some more snow and that can provide the moisture.
Ha, I was gonna give him a call. Did he say approximately when we should look into doing it?Originally posted by mr2mike

Shane said, early April he'll start to get going on lawn clean ups, etc.
Figured too early and weather will be up and down still.

Ground is still fairly hard so it may be a bit early, but it's coming to that time of year again.
Looking to contact a company to get a spring start up package later this month that includes power raking and dethatching. Maybe some overseeding and soil repair, but since voles chewed up one half of my lawn pretty good this past winter, I may just do that myself to save me the cost. Any suggestions?
I'll probably start watering after that.

These guys quoted me $170+tax for a power rake, aerate, cut, and trim. They don't get out until last two weeks of April/early May to start their spring cleanups.
I let my rachio do all the smarty pants calculations for the irrigation system. Awesome product.
I need to fix my sprinkler system and extend it to water the vegetable garden and greenhouse first.
But as another redditor said my lawn is still partially frozen
