Default Windows 10 clock always wrong

Hey guys, I'm running windows 10 and every time my computer goes to sleep it seems like it stops keeping track of time, when I wake the computer the time will be behind. Running windows 10 pro 10.0.14393, intel i7 4770, Mobo is Asus z 87-A

I've tried the following from what I've found on google:

    Method 1:
    Press Windows key + r
    Type services.msc.
Click Windows Time in the Name column.
Alternate click and then click Properties.
Change Startup type to Automatic (if it’s not already set to Automatic).
Click Start if the service isn’t started.

    Method 2:
Press “Windows+X” and click on “control panel”.
On the left hand side click on “clock, language and region”.
    Click on “change time zone”.
And then click on the tab “internet time” and click on “change settings”.
Check the box “synchronize with an internet time server” and also select the option “time.windows.com” from the drop down and click on “ok” and check if the issue persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

edit: forgot to mention I always right click on my taskbar clock and go to adjust date/time and turn off and on "adjust time automatically" and it fixes the time until the next time the computer goes to sleep then I have to do it again. "Set time zone automatically" is already on

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

This, and by any chance do you have a firewall setup (either software or hardware)? Check to make sure that NTP (Network Time Protocol) is enabled. If you have "Set time automatically" turned back on, it should reach out and grab accurate time.

As for the CMOS battery, try this. Set the time of your computer in Windows, if you know how to do it in the BIOS/UEFI do that as well. Then do a proper shutdown.

Unplug the computer for a couple minutes, and see if it remembers the time after you plug it back in.

Might be worthwhile checking if there's a BIOS/Firmware update for the motherboard a swell just in case.

Do that again, but choose time.nist.gov for the server. If you get a synch error, try the other servers on the list.
