Does anyone know if taking classes like biology and history that are offered in other languages go towards your language credit or is it strictly the FREN, SPAN, etc. classes?

Not sure for U of C, but at U of L they count.
Beyond Bully
They count for UofC.
Well they did a couple years ago. I'm sure it hasn't changed. My GF did a minor in French and took some History courses in French and they counted.
Your best bet is to call Student Resources to get a definite answer for something as important as what counts and what doesn't towards your degree.
