Yup and if the A was on the board insted of the hand it would be a split
A4 wins, you count 5 cards, you both have 2 pair Q's and J's so basically high card in the hand wins (unless someone had Q or J in their had to make a Full house.)

Just making sure, we had an angry player...LOL
3 pairs always sucks.
Ya...all responses are correct. Remind me of a time when I witnessed this (on PokerStars of course)
QJ vs. JJ
Flop is J-T-T
Turn is T
River is the case T
(board: J-T-T-T-T)
The QJ hit a one-outer on the river to win with four-of-a-kind, queen kicker (beats four of a kind with a jack kicker).
Man that would suck, odds on that are ridiculous.Originally posted by Gainsbarre

Yes...the QJ had to catch either running queens or running tens on the turn and river (but NOT a queen and ten or a ten and queen...the jacks would still hav a better full house with jacks full)
Therefore the odds would be (2/45)*(1/44) = 2/1980 = 1/990
or 990 to 1 or 0.101%.
Why would you think the 77 would win, not being fecicous just curious.

It's not uncommon for people to mistake the opponents A as the 5th card. I've seen it happen a lot of times. It's just one of those things that sometimes get overlooked because because people forget, or don't realize, that it's the best 5 card hand you can make, and in that case, the Ace played. I've done a it a few times, myself.Originally posted by pinoyhero

Obviously the guy with the pocket pairs did not play the game right. If he would of played his pockets more aggressively he probably would of taken the pot.
