    Default Spotted: Nissan PAO

Saw one of these driving beside me on Crowchild this morning. Didn't get a chance to snap a pic, but it looked pretty idenical to the one below, even the same color.

RHD, an asian dude driving it. It looked to be in very good shape - maybe someone on here?

EDIT: I found some more details ( Linky )
The Pao was announced by Nissan Motors at the Tokyo Motor Show, October 1987. Reservations for new Paos started on the 15th January 1989, and continued for a mere three months through to the 14th of April in the same year. This short window produced far more demand than could be accommodated in the short production run (planned at roughly 10,000 units only) and successful applicants were ultimately chosen by lottery.
    ...
The specification boasts of, amongst other features, a modern (but retro-styled) radio, air-conditioning and, on some models, automatic gearbox; the small engine provides excellent fuel economy of up to 69mpg at 60km/h, and the chassis allows a very small turning circle of 4.4m (14.4ft).
NOW I see what brought it out of hiding...

That belongs to my friend who lives in the NW. His girlfriend drives an identical Pao as well.

He imports JDM's himself. He just got himself a pristine Subaru SVX from Japan.

It's a sweet car; it's especially nice seeing cars like that in such good shape.

We have a classic Mini in the family and the MPG is not what you would think.

It tops out at around 45-50 on the highway and maybe 30s in town because you have to redline shift to move anywhere. Handles like nothing else though.
