Does anyone know if it's possible to watch any World Cup qualifying games on TV here in Canada? I'm primarily interested in Germany, but would love to catch some of them - either online or preferably via TV. Perhaps Setanta?

I have Setanta from shaw. Most of the games should be on there.
cheers,
Perfect - I'll give that a shot. Thanks!
Setanta is your best bet. They show quite a few, especially a lot of obscure teams (got to watch my homeboys Malta v Turkey last year, which was a surprisingly good match!)
GolTV and FoxSportsWorld are the only other two reliable soccer sources on Shaw. But here's an awesome link for you:

I've done a lot of P2P streaming this year, and while I can say it's far from optimal (usually you end up between good quality English audio with horrible video, or great video with Chinese or other language commentary) it's still a nice option that will allow you to watch more football than you have to struggle to see here. Give it a shot; if you're not familiar with it, read up on it at the above link.
Yeah, Setanta has bumped up their WCQ coverage (and international friendlies), but its their EPL (and SPL) coverage that brings me in. Not to mention all the rugby as well.
If there was Setanta HD I would be in heaven.
Canada lost 2-1
Did some digging, and Setanta has the rights to most WCQ games, but GolTV got the rights to the important teams (Germany and Italy)
Ordered GolTV on Bell today, but it comes in a package with the Hunting channel and the Fishing channel..... go figure
