I'll take it in case I get another broken one, maybe I can mix and match. I wouldn't be able to pay much (or anything) for it though unless it comes with some weapons. If it has weapons I can pay more.

Jesus man, I know you like Transformers, but you need to get out more. No one should get this upset over a movie based on children's toys.
1984 - complete
1985 - complete
1986 - complete
1987 - about half
1988 - a couple

That's crazy. How much do you think the collection is worth?
Holy smokes, that's quite the collection, even my husband was impressed.
Seeing a collection like that brings back memories of my brother and me finding the key to my dads classic car collection when they went out one night, needless to say, things got broken really quickly.
I hope these are kept far away from curious little hands.
No kids at my house and they're kept hidden away in the bedroom where the sunlight won't ruin them. I've also got another 150 or so for sale if anyone else collects. They're all my doubles I acquired while completing my collection.Originally posted by nickyh

Curious, what is the martini racing porsche 930 worth?!

Holy, I skipped from those first pics to these ones, shit's grown in 2 years! Nice to see a few that I had back in the day too
That's Jazz, he's quite hard to find in white condition since most kids left him in the sun and he turned brown from the UV. Plus when transforming him a lot of people press down on the windshield and it snaps very easily. So if yours is white and has the roof plus all the weapons, it's about $40 - $50. Just the car is worth maybe $20.Originally posted by EM1FTW

However there was a limited edition of Jazz which was available only by sending in some UPC from Cookie Crisp boxes and it's referred to as Cookie Crisp Jazz.
Oddly enough they couldn't get the rights to use the logos printed on the car so instead of reading Martini, all Jazz toys actually read Martinii to avoid copyright infringement. Except for the Cookie Crisp versions which omit the Martinii logos completely.

Hey that Jet Fighter robot next to Omega Supreme is that a Transformer? Looks like it came from Macross.
Lots of Transformers designs were "borrowed" from Macross and other popular series of the time.Originally posted by parapara_vince

Great collection.. Interesting that I missed this thread back in 2011. I'd still personally drape some UV resistant linens over that glass cabinet to keep UV light out as it'll still be exposed and stuff will yellow over time.
Funny how some of us never grow out of toys.. For me, that means diecast (aside from my other millions of hobbies). I have a big collection of diecast (like Hot Wheels, Matchbox, etc...). At 36, I am happiest inside a Toys R Us or the toy aisle of any store LOL. And my son loves me for that.
I still have a few of my transformers from my childhood.
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
It's a direct lift from Macross, some of the rarer versions even have the Macross logo on the wing still.Originally posted by parapara_vince

All Transformers pre-1986 were stolen from other lines. Megatron was released in the late 1970s along with 2 other die cast transforming guns. Skylynx was taken from Toybox, Bumblebee was from Microman, the Dinobots were from Diaclone. They bought rights to the moulds from the Japanese companies and released them in North America along with a comic book and cartoon show. All with different names.
A guy in Calgary just sold a couple of Diaclone instruction manuals on Ebay last week for $227.50. Yes, just the instructions.

Chromedome. He's worth about $100 complete. I've got one for sale.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
I only remember one transformer toy that I had, the brown and white firebird (or whatever the fuck car that is supposed to be) in the middle at the back of your picture. Probably a few others too, somewhere packed away in a box in the attic.

So I have a G1 Sideswipe with a red head, and a Metroplex with non chrome legs. Are these normal?
Transformers bring back some great memories. This collection truly is impressive, Mar. I can see you touring with Comic-Con in the future!
hey mar, when i was about 10 years old (1993) i was in the hospital with a broken pelvis for 2 months and my parents bought me an optimus prime. it was made out of alot of metal and fired missiles, and thats all i can remember. could you help me find it? i've been looking for years, i'd like to find it again lol
Optimus' trailer shoots small black missiles from the inner robot arms.Originally posted by Dalking

Or if you had the white version, that's Ultra Magnus. He has the same main body as Optimus but shoots red missiles.
However 1993 was the beginning of Generation 2 so it could have been the Generation 2 Optimus Prime:

Hoooooooooly smokes. I just added a Transformer to my collection that I was surprised to even be in the same room with. I went to pick up a couple of Nintendo games from a seller tonight and they have a room floor to ceiling with original Star Wars and G.I. Joe figures for sale. I don't care about any of that but they had one Transformer for sale so I figured I'd take a look.
Looks like a regular Dinobot named Slag right? Sells for about $20.
Not so. When they originally came out, the USA and Europe sold the normal version you are accustomed to seeing with regular colours. However Canada sold a variant for a limited time which had a red face, red hands and white legs, this version is ultra rare.....so rare in fact there currently isn't one for sale on Ebay at all. It's called a Canadian Slag and it's what this one turned out to be. Observe:
I am in love with this figure, it just became the center piece of my collection. I never dreamed of the day I would be able to add a Canadian Slag to my Transformers collection! I know, I need to get out more. Noted.
Enjoy.
