Yeah I almost want Ford to get their hands on the Jeep brand to see what they can do with it. They have just been doing so damn good lately.

I dunno... GM's got the ZR1, Volt, Cruze, Camaro, CTS V etc...
I've had to say this before....
GM's competitive/inovative models
1- Chevrolet Cruze
2- Chevrolet Volt
3- Cadillac CTS Including V series, wagon, sedan, and coupe
4- Cadillac SRX =best selling luxury cuv at this time
5- Cadillac XTS coming out next year
6- Buick Lacrosse
7- Buick Regal (gs turbo model coming)
8- GMC Sierra/ Chev Silverado HD proven to be the best HD truck
9- GMC Terrain and Chev Equinox have been selling like crazy, much fresher design than Ford Escape
10- Corvette-Ford has nothing to compare here
GM also has the upcoming Sonic which looks promising, their own turbo direct injected V6 is coming next year, along with a new generation of V8's, e-assist, and new gen 4cys as well. Ford does have lots of new and competitive products too, but GM's game is coming together quite well, especialy when you compare Lincoln to Cadillac. all in all its good to see ALL the domestic co's stepping up.
They're not selling them properly, I think. I know fords ads are kind of funny, but they appeal a lot more than GM's everyone's-a-nuclear-interracial-family-from-the-suburbs shit. I'd take a mustang over the new camaro any day.Originally posted by Toma

Ford has been doing absolutely everything right since the buyouts business wise. It's good to see some people still know what they are doing.
I think GM is a much better, more innovative company since the buyout.
I wonder if the American public holds a grudge DUE to the buyout?
Ford has really stepped up their game. Nowadays, I actually prefer Ford rentals.
Great cars...but most of these are niche vehicles. The problem with the performance line is that everyone thinks they are cool...but very few will actually buy them.Originally posted by Toma

mustang
vs
corvette
there are simply just more rednecks in north america.
mostly ford's campaign is far better. alberta is a heavy industry region. ford is pushing their trucks. GM is appealing to very white collar people. it isn't working for them.

The Corvette is in a class (price point) of its own.
Not surprised, Ford has really turned it around. They have some really nice cars these days. GM has also but not to the same extent. Chrysler on the other hand just doesn't get it... still making big ugly as fuck American cars..
werdd... ford has stepped up their game, even now i find their cars pretty dam interesting and good to look at
Thank you! Comparing the mustang to corvette I wasOriginally posted by sputnik

your right as far as base models go but some of the svt and roush mustangs are like $80k same as a vette. and the mustangs are still half the car in comparison. (to tired to search for the actual numbers)
somehow mustangs have become the bench mark of performance, i think it's a very low standard but they sell big because every dam drag car is a mustang so people do what sheep do and buy one of their own. mustang will be around for a very long time because of this which leave other manufacturers to have a very small "performance car" demographic.

the chrysler products are not only ugly, but they also have the lowest reliability in the industry.
i love the mean ass look of the new challengers. would love to have one of those for the summer.

.
2.) Not available yet.
3.) Always been a niche car at the price
4.) Not good looking, again Niche car
5.) Not available yet
6.) Buick?
7.) Best model not available yet
8.) Proven by who? Still see more Dodge in the field than GM's.
9.) Agreed their little SUV's are nice
10.) Agreed but for 100k price point who can blame them.
I am not sure how that list really strengthens the pro-GM stance. 4 of your 10 points arent even available yet. The vette argument is moot. Ford doesnt have a car to compete but lots of other manufacturers do taking sales away from GM. The truck argument is not really valid either. 90k for a 2500 HD Denali is insane. Dodge and Ford offer better trucks for cheaper and it shows in their sales.
