The zero to 62 mph (100 km/hr) dash happens in 5.7 seconds, and top speed is 167 mph.

Wishful thinking... but what's the chance that the fender vents are functional?
I read somewhere that they were. Should know tomorrow once all the details are released.Originally posted by HiSpec

I like it.
The front half of the car is pretty nice looking. The rear isnt so much. But again that is a European spec car and I highly doubt that is coming to us. Now I just hope Honda puts that 306bhp engine into a Civic Si.
For everyone saying the rear end is horrible. Yes it is lol! But again this is for Europe and they are into some nasty shit lol.
This is last gen European Civic type R

I just can't get over how bad that spoiler looks on the back. The oversize wing looks bad enough on the STI but at least a sedan can kind of pull that off but it looks retarded on a hatch.
If they brought that thing over here it would likely start at $40k. Honda has never been able to affordably price their performance cars. Which is why they have kind of given that up in the North American market as they can charge more in money in Europe.
Lol. I'd buy one so bad.

Honda would not spend money on R&D to develop this new turbo engine only to keep it in Europe or Japan. They will probably put it into all their cars globally. Same thing with the k20 they engineered that motor and we saw it world wide in slightly different variations in compression and hp. But what I'm getting at is these new turbo engines will make their way to us too.
Of course. We'll be seeing rusty EGs with this turbo swap in no timeOriginally posted by Redlined_8000

Did a 7:50 around the nurburg! Just for comparison, a new BMW M4 with DCT and ceramic brakes did a 7:52! Crazy fast.
Stupid fast. I bet it has more like 350hp.
Also appeared to rev match and hit 260kph on the straights. Lol Honda, sandbaggers.

7:50 puts it in some pretty damn elite company!
As for pricing....
Honda also announced this morning that the Civic Type R will start at £29,995 in the UK, and the upmodel GT version will start at £32,295. That puts it about on par with the WRX STI.
lol I just might. Haven't owned a Honda in years. I know the gf will hate it haha

That's a lot of money for a FWD car as it's going to be priced in the range of the STI, Golf R, and likely Focus RS. Americans won't buy it which means it won't come here in that form. We will likely get an SI coupe with a detuned turbo engine with pricing in the range of a WRX and GTI.

This is possible. I hope they keep all the internals the same so we can tune the hell out of the new engine haha
