Default Rust fix, need a cheap solution...

anyone know a place that can fix up my baby for a decent price? Just need it patched up with some good ole fiberglass so it'll last a few more years. This car still has decent life left to it....

pics below, worth it to fix?

    Don't bother.

Any fix you try aside from full on panel replacing will just make that worse than it already is.

From the images this is either a Integra or Civic and they all do this and there is no stopping it.

+1, that's just way too bad lol, if you're still bent on saving it for cheap, POR15 the crap out of it, fill it with that foam, shape it and pretend it never even happened

Jesus, I wouldn't even bother. Drive it until a door falls off or the roof rusts through lol.

There is no cheap fix that will last like you want. If you were handy with body/paint yourself you could grind the rust out, patch/glass it and make it look better for a couple years, but I certainly wouldn't pay someone else to half-ass it like that. That's just throwing good money in to a shell that's seen the end of it's days. If you love the car, the cheapest fix is probably buying a rust free shell and swapping your parts over. The only right way to fix your shell at this point involves 2 new quarters, rockers, and likely some inner patch work once the body guy starts cutting rust away, which will cost you more than a much newer car would.

Dam thats too bad. It's a GSR with a good engine, good tranny and good suspension, hate to see it go to car heaven too soon. I guess a little duct tape will keep it together for another year or two.

    GSR engines still worth anything???

That rust is far too progressed to properly repair. Once you start grinding, you'll find double what you already see.

The only realistic way of fixing that rust to last any longer than a year or two is new panels, and it just isn't worth it.

    yeaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, you need new panels.

It is not going to be a cheap fix. If the rusting was caught earlier when it was just surface rust you could of fixed it. But this is progressive rusting, where its rusting through the metal, compromising its strength.
You try to fix it, or grind it off, that rusted section will just fall off.

    Sucks man

GSR are dime a dozen now. Type-R would be another thing.

Por15 it then patch it with fiberglass if you want it to look decent. Probably some really rusty rockers under the side skirts from the pics.

I'm going to bump this thread. I have much less extensive rust, I don't know what to do about it and I don't have the tools or the know-how to try and fix it by myself. Any shops that could deal with this or is this too far gone? Apologies for the blurry pictures.

Left rear wheel well, the worst spot on the car:

Any help besides Shocker's searing wit would be appreciated. I can provide more and less shitty pictures if needed. Camera is all scratched so it makes it tough sometimes.
