Impact auto auction

So something has caught my eye @ Impact for Wednesday's auction but reading up I guess you need to be a dealer/bodyshop to be able to register.

Has anyone ever been to one? Is there any way for public to bid or buy something through a shop?

Frame is fucked.

OP: Impact sucks now a days. Good luck getting that car at a reasonable price... there way too many people that overbid on the late model stuff.

Hard to say. That kit alone is $5K. I'd say around $14K..but you watch the bidding get out of hand and end up higher.

The last BRZ I saw from a couple weeks ago went for...get this...$6500. It was run/drive as well. Needed $3k in parts so for $11K, the car was put back together.

This black one doesn't have any frame damage as someone mentioned above. if it did, it would have "UC" listed as a damage descriptor. Impact is really good at listing the damages accurately.


I'm always watching for the next "deal", something I can cage and go rallying with. That black one would fit the bill, but too expensive..

That makes no sense for the insurance company to have written it off as salvage. There had to be more to it.

Saw it myself. I didn't believe it either but my mechanic bought it (and fixed it).

My 03 WRX (106km) came from Impact as well. slight rear end tap, needed a tail light, trunk lid and a new bumper. insurance company wrote it off because of the three stage paint (Sedona Red Pearl) and didn't want anything to do with it.
I got the parts on kijiji for cheap (the trunk was already the proper color too) and put it back together extremely cheap. There are deals to be had, but you can also lose your shirt on some of these.

The kit can be had more like 3k$ since its non-intercooled. Used some were popping up on FT86.

I don't really care about the innovate kit, not my cup of tea, was just looking for the chassis for a project more so.
