Default Where can I find these camping games?

Maybe I can even buy them from someone here if you no longer use them. I haven't been able to find them in stores anywhere.

    1. That game where you throw the balls on the rope at the ladder rungs and try to make them stay on the rung.

    2. Horse shoes with quality shoes and metal pegs

    3. The little white ball from bocce ball. We played last year and that thing rolled right into some sort of rat hole in the ground. I dug half a metre into the earth with an axe and still couldn't find it, that hole was deep.

Canadian tire has the ladder ball game and horse shoes. I think I saw the ladder ball game at Walmart before as well. Not sure about bocce ball.

Just use a golf ball as a replacement for a the Bocce ball.

Ladder ball can be had anywhere. different stores have different quality though. the best ones I've seen are at actual RV stores.

just build your own ladder ball out of wood and dowling, or pvc pipe, most of the premade ones are garbage quality.

I can build you a heavy duty version of the ball ladder game
Most of the store bought ones are really rinky dinky quality

I checked for the ladder game at Wal-Mart, didn't see it, I'll have to check Canadian Tire. I'd take up the offer for the custom one but I don't think I could afford that unless it was about $30.

I thought about the horseshoes and one of my friends has a bunch of horses, maybe I can just get some shoes from him and some rebar.

Apparently the Ladderball game is at Wal-Mart, it's just in the seasonal section by the door instead of in the games section. I picked it up for $25, looks like it's just made of PVC piping and I'm not sure of how long it'll last but I'd rather the convenience of folding this one up instead of making a higher quality version which doesn't fold. We're playing with 2 families with kids anyway so it's not a drunken stupor.

yeah, kinda confused how, if you're designing and building something, you cant make it portable.... that $25 walmart thing will fall apart after a few uses, and doesn't work well when it does work.. you could have built something a lot better in an hour.. for cheaper... 2x4's are like $2 each, and some pvc, easily built for like $20 and way stronger/more sturdy

but typical Mar fashion, ask a question, get legitimate and viable answers, do the opposite, which could have been done with no thread.

who cares? i'd rather buy one than build on as well.

there was one at Woody's RV. They had it for $99 but it was made of metal and could be taken apart. betcha it looked way better than anything home made...

To be fair, lots of people don't like building their own things, even if it's relatively easy. I'd rather just go buy one as well, especially when they are very inexpensive, come with a carrying bag, and look better compared to anything I would make myself without putting in too much effort. My friends have this one from Costco, and we have hammered on it pretty good with no problems. Still holding up 2 years later:

If it breaks in the first year or so Costco will probably give you a new one anyway.

They also have steel horseshoe sets:

    And Bocce:

All very reasonably priced and with carrying cases.

bought my ladder ball set up at canadian tire, and I use a golf ball for bocce.

Another great game is beers-bee. Essentially a Frisbee based drinking game.
I use 2 ski poles, and you place an empty beer can with a little rock in it to hold it down on the top of the ski pole. You place both poles around 20 ft apart and have teams of 2. You throw the frisbee back and forth trying to know the beer can down. All players have a beer in hand and need to either catch the can as it falls or catch the frisbee and you need to finish your drink if the can falls and you dont catch it, or take a drink everytime your side doesnt catch the frisbee

I noticed London Drugs has a large selection of these types of games for pretty reasonable prices.

Bocce ball at canadian tire. Picked up set in May. My ladder ball broke its first use, as a sword by my kid.

The ultimate camping game is Bunnock though.
