Normally I love the rain, but I had the week off and wanted to do some cycling or work on my motorcycle so it put a kink in my plans. I did get to finish what I wanted to do on my motorcycle before it poured this afternoon though, so it wasn't a complete loss.
Off topic but what did you do to the bike?Originally posted by D'z Nutz

Took off the factory forward controls and installed mids. Earlier in the week I removed the exhaust wrap the previous owner put on and painted the heat shields, though it would have been much better had I done it during a nice, warm day.Originally posted by roll_over

Did you catch the funnel cloud on the way back? We tried to go to the Dawgs game too.
I missed the funnel cloud, but went through that huge downpour as we were coming into town at 192nd. Wipers on full speed and still couldn't see 20 feet in front of us. Didn't see the funnel cloud til I watched the news at 6:00.
Environment Canada finally took a clue and issued a Tstorm watch today - before the skies are black this time.
BTW, I went out and picked up a whole-house surge suppressor. With the number of storm-days in a row (21?) and many, very close strikes, its only a matter of time before something gets zapped good.
I can't even see a cloud... Not one.Originally posted by revelations

Its a WATCH, not a WARNING.
Watch = good chance for storms developing today
Warning = you're about to get hit
Spotted several funnel clouds yesterday in the okotoks area (and further east) coming back into town.
Was bigger, then smaller, then disappeared. Then came back even bigger.

Big storm coming up from the south right now... Looks like high river and okotoks are gonna get hammered again.
It was just pretty ugly in the Black Diamond area, very heavy rain and pea sized hail was coming down sideways, trees whipping around. I was considering taking to the basement but it seems to be subsiding now.
Too loud for Aspen
The south parts of Calgary will be hit here within 1/2 hour. Up to pinp-pong side hail can be possible.
Gettin' dark in the dirty SE. Incoming!
Well I got my front lawn cut today... Been trying to do that for weeks now
Queue the lightning and thunder.. Wtf is with the weather lately

Pretty good thunder and lightning rolling through my area now (Haysboro). Heavy rain. No hail yet...
Edit: 30 seconds after posting got a quick dump of pea to marble sized hail.
