Can't PM - what gives?

I seem to be locked out of the PM system. Or, I seem to be unable to SEND PM's. I have received a few.

For clarity, I mean when I click on the PM button below a users post, I get the following message:
"Notice
has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her."

This happens with every user. I have tested quite a few of them.

Mods, any thoughts?

I have PMs enabled, try it on mine. I clicked yours and I can write a PM

Did you try the whole clear cache, log in log out thing?

Log in Log out should clear it.
