Default Looking for a decent PS/design program

I am looking for a decent program to edit photos to use on my companies social media platforms. Looking for something that is free but has some good features, also like the ability to throw up different text in larger sizes over photos etc. Anyone have anything they can recommend?

GIMP. Not quite as good as photoshop but for 95% of people is more than enough.

    Seconded.

Not always the most intuitive, but very powerful.

I hear GIMP is pretty good too.
Do you use Windows? Affinity Photo just released the beta version for Windows. The Mac version launched last year and the reviews have been pretty positive.

Gimp is brutal... pixlr.com is my go to... very close to photoshop and being web based no need to download anything
