^The one time I did that it was a pain, they didn't seem to know how to handle it, but def the right thing to do.
Just asked for another refund today, and 3 more days before I ask for another *sigh*

I have cancelled 4 shipments so far and received refunds for all of them. Most of the orders made early December.
This is really impacting the way I shop for nicknacks and stupid things. The first thing I check now is shipment location and if it says china or hong kong i move on. I have zero issues paying 10-20% more for a product that arrives in 5 days vs 5 months.

Your tears fuel me
Going to be happy living in Vancouver in 2 months. First thing I'm doing is opening a US mailbox. Seems like the US is having no problems with 2-3 week shipping times, faster by air.
So after 5+ disputes of the deliveries not coming, Aliexpress went ahead and closed my account citing breaking their buyer protection rules apparently. Now i can only get refunds from my RBC Visa charge backs I guess...

I had a package post marked Nov 19, 2016 arrived yesterday finally.
The stuff is coming. Just takes 4 months to get through. Why are you requesting refunds? Are you going to re-reimburse the seller when you get the items?Originally posted by nzwasp

We requested refunds on these 5 things but we cant get refunds because our account was closed.
My wife is very impatient and now very pissed off that Aliexpress closed her account. Me I would of just waited for the shit to come I could really care less about the $30 or whatever we spent on the stuff that hasn't come yet. Even if she didn't get her $2 back on something she bought she would be super pissed...Originally posted by JudasJimmy

I bought some LED lights off ebay last month, free shipping to canada. Paid immediately, then got an email the next day stating they wont offer free shipping and want another $38 usd. I told them no, it says free shipping and I want my lights for the deal I paid for.. and then they just cancel the order. Took near a month to get a refund to clear with paypal.
Visa returned all my money to me for the returns I requested! Advised me if the stuff shows up to just take it to the post office and tell them to return to sender.

Didn't read through all of the pages so I don't know if it was mentioned already but there has been some talk about screening more packages from China because of the fentanyl crisis...whether or not that's the reason for the delays, I don't know.
I bought an emoji pillow in mid November from Amazon...was hoping to have it in time for Christmas. Emailed the seller 2 months after purchasing and they gave some excuse about items held in the airport and said that it would be resent to me. We'll see if it arrives...I'm skeptical.
All of this because I was too cheap to pay an extra $10 for a similar item that had 2 day free shipping with prime. Oh well, live and learn.
I ordered a whole bunch of gopro accessories 2 months ago. It's already past the date of delivery so I requested a refund from the seller.
I'm going to avoid ordering things from China until delivery times go back to the norm.
Judging from a few other posts here, I expect I'll start seeing these soon.
Here are my outstanding orders:
Amazon order shipped Nov 14th *
Ali Express Nov 21
Amazon order 11/24
Ali Express Dec 16
Ebay Dec 15
* contacted seller on Jan 24, re-shipped e-packet received a week later.
None of these are over $30.00 so didn't hassle the sellers, knowing it's a Customs/Canada Post issue. Other than the one Amazon order that was a gift.

What are you guys all buying from asia?
For us my wife buys household goods and personal items like ear picks and other random kitchen accessories.
Also party decorations for the kids are pretty cheap.
For me I bought a LC/SC/ST fiber tester for use at work for $20 It shines a red laser down the fiber optic cable for up to 20km of cable to see whether or not the fiber is either the right one or is broken.
I prefer to buy from Asia:
big or small item,
seller is fair
seller knows how to fill out a commercial invoice, even accurately describing item and price.
Buying from an eBay US seller:
once a seller told me
"We dont ship over seas as shipping to Canada is complicated"
another seller:
Purchased an item that required freight (engine), he said anywhere in Canada is a flat rate, and its $2000... as "Canada is very far from the United States"
Just got the Amazon 11/24 item today. Looks like they're finally trickling in.Originally posted by The_Penguin

I got a Nov 20th and a Dec 2nd order today. Those were my oldest ones. I'm getting showered with 3 month old orders. Christmas all over again. :-)
I just got my last 11/11 package today. That makes all 14 of them landed successfully (albeit slow). The last 3 I didn't even bother renewing buyer protection. I got tired after the third time and just gave up but they did show up.
Still waiting on mid January orders now.
American sellers are so stupid. Another excuse I've heard: once the package crosses the border, it's gone forever if the seller gets scammed. Yeah, because there's a task force operating within the US that retrieves your stolen package from state to stateOriginally posted by thetransporter

Item #3 tablet case (ordered Nov 26) just arrived!
So now just one item left.
Got my AliExpress Dec 16 order today.
2 down 3 to go.
Hey, the rivnuts I ordered in October showed up.
They sent the wrong size.
