I have read good things about the Samsung LCD monitors. Image quality tends to be improved when you use the DVI port, instead of the analog, so I think the 191T has this.
Whichever LCD you do think of purchasing, ask about their return policy for dead pixels.

Samsung or NEC is the safest bet.
yep, I have no tollerance for dead pixels.

I think most places will replace your monitor for free if it's got dead pixels within a certain number of days?

fuck, the first mfr that anyone named benny should be checking out is BENQ!
haha most manufacturers will only replace your monitor if got more than somethnig like 5-10 dead pixels. the only mfr. that replaces the monitor if theres 1 dead pixel is BenQ.
benq has cheap prices, high specs, and a good warrantee. it looks good on paper, but ive never really had much time to check out how they look in real life. i tihnk u should check it out, even if only for the namesake
I'll never buy another BenQ anything ever again. Since my dvd burner shit the bed with less than 15 discs under its belt.
I have a Daytek LCD, had it for 2 years now. No problems whatsoever.
it doesn;t much matter you can get adapters, it might just sacrafice a lil bit of quality.Originally posted by Ben

ive heard a lot of good things about Benq...mainly their bang for hte buck factor. i know memex sells one with a 600:1 ratio and 11ms response time for $500? that was the last time i checked...right now im running an NEC and i love it too.
Apple studio displays are the best but they aren't cheap. My 17" display is almost 2 years old and still no lost pixels.
Apple's new studio displays are Mac/PC compatible and are by far the best LCDs out there. I've looked at dozens of different kinds (got dozens at work) and there is absolutely no comparison.. I have the 17" Studio and it is about a year old or so, no dead pixels and just gorgeous to look at.
I'm probably going to get the new 30" one of these days.
mmmmm. Beautiful!I'm probably going to get the new 30" one of these days.
I just ordered a pair of 20"s. I spent a lot of time shopping too and kept coming back to the studio displays.
Once again though, if you compare the top brand X lcds to the Apple LCDs there isn't that big of a price diff (maybe one or two hundred dollars)...Apple studio displays are the best but they aren't cheap.
while thats fine and dandy, I'm not prepared to spend that much.
