Personally, I think the new M2 looks way better than the A/CLA/GLA. I suspect it likely drives/performs better too. I've driven the M2 and loved it, however I haven't driven the AMG versions of the A/CLA/GLA though so I don't know if they're comparable or not.
Although mercedes is pulling an Audi and having all their cars look nearly identical... I think its a stretch to say the 2 series looks anywhere close to as good as the A / CLA.

The only decent looking BMW cars left are 3 series (non m) and 5 series. They've fucked everything else up. And the XM although not a car is the cherry on top.

Are they real AMGs or just M-Sport versions of the BMWs. I would love an M2 however for the price you pay a 1LE Camaro is much better value IMO.

They have real AMG versions of GLA and CLA I think (the 45 is the real one). A35 is a watered down one.

The real AMG version is somewhat comparable to the M2, but kinda not. They might be the same "tier", but I don't think I'd be cross shopping them. AWD 4 door hatch/mini sedan vs RWD coupe are not in the same zone IMO.

I would 100% agree with this. Zero chance Im ever going to pay what they're asking for these cars these days.

I just find mercedes classier and more comfortable. But in terms of "performance" its quite subjective. Agreed with getting a camaro for better bang for buck if you want performance and power.

You can also get it on M3/4

Even black can’t save that ass, and that doorknob paid $9k USD for the privilege.

Sorry, Im going to be first one to say it.. it looks like a 90s civic with cheap body kits with a baby blue wrap job.
Disagree. 90s EG civics started getting round. More like the boxier 80s EF civic with a 90s era body kit.

Its gotta be tough being a car manufacturer these days and trying to make things look different and/or interesting. Im certain this look isnt for everyone but for a car you can buy from a dealership it's unique and will appeal to some people. Personally, I don't hate this look but mainly cause in the early 2000s I liked crazy body kits and even put one on my 1st car (99 mercury cougar) and thought it looked bad ass. This is just an evolution of that. Haters gonna hate.

Not a fan of the M-performance exhaust as it's just way too try hard. However I like most (the rear end could be better) of what BMW did with this M2 . Nothing looks like it on the road as it's got a lot of presence with the massive fender flares and rocker panels. Looks like a hotwheels car come to life. I get that it may be too juvenile for some but in a very forgettable era of vehicle styling this car stands out and it's unmistakably an M2. You can't say that about any of today's AMG (GT excluded) or RS vehicles where the average person couldn't discern them from their base people pushers.
