My home insurance went up 8% this year which is enough to be annoying but not yet to waste time to switch. I've yet to find a company that is cheap for home & auto, last time I shopped around it always seemed to be each company was better on one side but worse on the other. Ended up with TD for auto and Intact for the home thus far.

Yea I used the same guy as @brucebanner he's not there anymore but they're pretty good for pricing form when I changed last year. With everything I have i saved 200 a month.

Edit: I do still use intact for the merc and lightning, which is attrociously cheap.
Did you get set up with a new guy? Austin was great to deal with, dislike having to get a new person.. Off to the peeves thread

Anyone have a recommendation on an appraisal company for a car?

Trying to help someone out but I really have no idea where to send them.

Car is worth almost nothing (‘80s beetle)… I don’t really understand why this needs to be a thing.

I'm with Pembridge, and there is no web portal. At all. They only use snail mail, which is always like 30-60 days delayed from any transaction. The only way to get real time status on receipt of my annual payment for example, is to call the broker. It's a joke.

I would move brokers because of that. Having someone a phone call or email away from getting info like that is basically the only value add of a broker.
The new car I bought last summer I drove on temporary pink slips for 4 months. During these 4 months nobody could tell me what my premium increase would be, nor did I pay anything. That’s how fucking slow Pembridge is. ‘They are just behind’ but I’ve been hearing that from them since the early 2000s, so the problem is clearly by design.

Who are they trying to go through for insurance? Hagerty asks how much value you want and asks for photos to be sent in. Ezpz

Intact will insure my evo but won’t ensure my sterrato. Makes sense…

Hagerty quoted about 8x what I pay for my evo. Cooperators was about 4x and was the best price I could find so far. Seems things are becoming more painful to ensure everyday..

I’d say you’re one more super car away from self-insuring
