And.. here are the prices for the Tacoma i-Force MAX engines. Of course, Toyota Canada put the Trailhunter higher in price than the Pro but lower than the Pro in the US; but 86k for a Trailhunter? No f'ing way. lol. I feel they just inflated the price as it's going to be more popular here than the Pro.

Model Bed size Starting MSRP Estimated Vehicle Price*
    Limited 5-ft $63,390 $67,021
    TRD Off Road Premium 5-ft $64,850 $68,481
    TRD Pro 5-ft $76,990 $80,621
    Trailhunter 6-ft $82,950 $86,581
As a tacoma driver who bought new 10 years ago, this is wild.

Pricing has been available for a while now, its just the building and lease/finance rates that are new.

91k OTD to get a Toyota with leather.

The GX is somehow looking like a deal relatively speaking.

What a time to be alive.

I am not sure why everyone is going gaga over this.
If you are going to spend over 100K plus (On Lexus) why not look at German.
    I don't get it.

Because those offroad as well as the aforementioned E-Class wagon.

Whether or not the vehicle will acktchually go offroad is moot, so don't go down that path. The fact is, if someone wants a luxury offroader, the only german that can compete with the GX is a G wagen, which costs what, 50-200% more depending on trim?

haha I see that preemptively removed the * comment.
If you 'Truly' want a Offroad capable luxury vehicle then there is LR. I know it is not German.
The Point I am trying to make is at this Price point there are other options.

If I had $100k to spend on an SUV, this Pavement Cruiser or it's Lexus cousin wouldn't be at the top of my list. I wouldn't even visit the dealer in solidarity.

You could cross shop an F150 or a tesla too. The comparison makes no sense.

For an extra 10K yeah you could sneak into a base Defender compared to a LC w/ leather. And of course if you're going to cross-shop them, for ease lets say they're identical in price, you have to consider:

    1) Is it as capable off-road
    2) Is it reliable
    3) Is it going to hold value
    4) Aesthetics
    5) Badge

I am with you brother. Bought mine new 3 years ago and even I can't believe it lol.

Tacoma Builder is live also. Look at that Trailhunter pushing to 90k. LOL

(and like I said, it's cheaper than the Pro in the U-S of A)

Fuck you can spend 120k on a wrangler in 2024

I have an X5, will be keeping it when my GX lands. There is not much overlap in what GX and X5 are good at.

Defender is an ok cross shop, at a much higher price point.
