I'm surprised they didn't call a late penalty on that Leafs goal. It looked like a trip that immediately caused a turnover and a goal.

I did think it was a trip initially, but they'd already evened up that węksōs crosschecking call

Matthews looked like he was wearing a diaper and had puked until it came out of his eyes.
Actually, there's no need for hyperbole. The fact is that Auston Matthews was so sick that he actually passed the puck and got an assist.

VGK played like it was a regular season game. Worst game 7 effort of round 1. Even the leafs looked better in their game 7.

If LA Kings, would have been a diving call.
Elimination games need more BS calls. Keep players SaVe!

What are playoffs going to look like next season with Amazon buying TV broadcast rights from Rogers (Sportsnet)?

Which series has Sportsnet even been actually producing? Will they do the finals themselves or just show the epsn feed?

Will nickelodeon do a broadcast? I'm in for that.

Hell of a game last night, thoroughly enjoyed it

Waiting until being a goal down until starting to go for it though is pretty tiresome

It is a big change in the coming. Could we soon see our national sport not being broadcast on TV / cable at all? Seems to be heading that way. I wonder if it will be a paid channel on Amazon Prime. I take great delight in watching Saturday night hockey over antenna, but maybe that’s the old man in me talking.

It may be going that way Eventually.
As for your Original question right now it is only Monday night games.
Any one with Amazon Prime will be able to watch the game without paying anything extra.

I am sure the 1.38 billion that subsidizes the Government broadcaster could toss 7 another zeros at a deal. Why not?

Dumpster Fire has started in TO,
    https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...sheldon-keefe/

So Shanahan and Tre are going to escape and take no responsibility for the construction of the team.
What a joke. I have no idea what is the love affair with Tre. Useless GM.

Isn't it his 2nd year a GM? You have to give the guy a chance before you pigeon hole that team as "his" fault.

Keefe at least coach for the last 5 years and with all that talent on the team he definitely should have produced better results.

Yes it is his 2nd year.
What has he done in the past as a GM? Not able to keep the talent and give them away for almost next to nothing? Has he won anything?
Sheldon has been asking for help in terms of players. What did Tre Do? Signed a guy who can hardly walk John Klinberg ( Same Money as Matt Dumba) , Signed Ryan Reaves to a contract which most likely going to be bought out.
Signed Bertuzi ( No show for half of the Season). Only useful Signing he did was Domi.
Walked Ilya to free agency and then gave picks to get him back during trade deadline.
Cost Leafs more money by Playing hard ball with Nylander. If you look at Nylander career he was trending upwards so smart GM would have signed during the last off season for way less than what Leafs are paying him now.

Shedon is not the issue. He can only work with what tools he has been given.
Now I am sure Tre is going to trade Marner and that will be a disaster.
Does Tre has the balls to go and Strip the C from JT and trade him? I highly doubt it.
Before Marner , Leafs need to get rid of JT
