The same player with the same ref in the same series last year dove 3 times and drew penalties successfully. This year the ref remembered. Pretty comical if you ask me.

That play wouldn't have happened if Derek Ryan was called for holding after wrapping is hands around Kempe's arm moments before... But hey, OiLaZ right?

LA had the second best penalty kill in the entire NHL this year and the oilers finished the series with the highest success rate in NHL history this series.

3 of those games were at the beginning of the season when the oilers were losing to everyone. And the 4th game was an April coasting game where mcdavid sat. I wouldn’t chalk much into those stats.

Dont forget the canucks were lucky to get 13 shots a game vs Nashville in consecutive games. Peterson is non existent. The team looks like their all playing with injuries.

I'm torn on which team will be easier for the oilers at this point. Vans probably the better team for the oilers based off the better travel schedule.

But it would be sweet to see draisaitl continue his dominance over Nashville as he averages 5 points a game against them.

Either team will be a walk in the park based off how both teams are currently playing.

Fun thing about playoffs is there usually aren't any guaranteed park walks (purposefully ignoring Washington series).
