It does seem like a pretty good option for people who actually tow. The Ford Hybrid is also popular with people who tow. The Pure EV Ford is not really suitable for towing.

The Ram does seem like the perfect balance. People can act like they need a truck for towing to friends but then when they never actually do, they still get the full benefits of having an EV.

"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

City towing surprisingly doesn't affect range much. I've pulled a few small trailers with my Ioniq and it's negligible as you get the majority of the extra energy back with regen so long as you slow down earlier and not have to brake hard. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member.
