In my books, these days "dude" is generally a gender neutral term, but Courtney Walcott is the male-assigned-at-birth (apologies if I have assumed his gender or pronouns) councilor, and Kourtney Penner is the female-assigned-at-birth (again, apologies if i have assumed her gender or pronouns) councilor. I keep track of it with this handy tip: the stupid spelling is the woman (assumed), and the normal spelling of that traditionally female name is the man (assumed).

This was what I was saying. Dude is not really assuming any gender, as far as I know. It does assume a level of familiarity that could be rude in some contexts, but that's a different discussion.
