    Default R1m, s1000rr, or RSV4?

I hate to say it boypals, but my gsxr was written off a couple weeks ago, and I have narrowed my new bike down to the r1m, s1000rr, or RSV4. All three are simply stunning, and I was offered an incredible deal on the RSV4. So shoot me some opinions, which do YOU dweebs like best?

First one to convince me on which bike, gets molested.

I regret not buying an S1000RR over my CBR1000RR. It just felt like the most confortable sport bike for long distances. OEM heated grips as an option, OEM cruise control, seating position felt super comfortable.

They're also good to take a beating. There's a reason the California Superbike school uses them.

For all the watching racing that I do, I've never rode a bike and never seen any of these in person.

I've never seen so many options on a bike, you can pick one up for 20k, or 40k. I have taken one for a spin, and they're awesome, fairly comfortable for me at my height. I was looking at the m package options, and with the three bikes being so close in price, it's made it super hard to choose, especially since the r1 is looking like it will be discontinued. Damn fellas I'm stumped here.

So the one I looked at, is a '22 black with gold wheels. In person, they're sweet, same electronic doo-dads as the others, and they sound incredible, just as good as the cross plane r1's imo. And at 217 hp, an absolute rocket.

Again, knowing nothing and just reading and watching about bikes, it seems like the BMW is probably the better road bike and also the most boring. They look like they have boatloads of power though in every racing series they compete in.

I, being a contrarian shithead, am always most likely to pick the one that I see less of, and I'm out of the loop on what's common in the community but I think an Aprilia would stand out.

If Aprilia makes a colour other than Acid Gold, I don't want to know about it.

    None are common TBH.

The S1000RR has been on my list of bikes I would own. No particular reason other than I think it looks absolutely beautiful, and the headlights have really grown on me.

Either way, post up pics when you decide.

Aprilia is probably last place for me. For some reason I've always thought they age really poorly.

Very tough decision between the BMW and R1.

I have trust issues with Italian bikes, and catching fire while riding them.

Having owned an R1 (not the M) and ridden both the s1000rr and the Ape I'd have to go with the s1000rr as that bike is just ridiculously good and the options available make it a livable daily through shoulder seasons. The Ape I would own only because that to me is the best sounding motorcycle out there but riding it felt like a chore compared to the s1000rr and the r1. I wouldn't own one though as I believe CycleWorks is the only dealer in Calgary and I've heard nothing but nightmares when dealing with them. The R1 is just too hot, that's one of the main reasons I got rid of mine, getting old.

If I ever buy another bike though its gotta be the M1000RR...

Blackfoot has a $52,000 S1000RR full of carbon and M decals. Buy the bike for who you want to be!

Did you crash on your GSXR? If so, you ok? Deets!

If I were in your shoes right now I'd pick the BMW. Full disclosure, my last bike was a Honda VFR 1200F sport/cruiser, and it's more cruiser than sport, for sure. I went from a long line of Honda CBRs, a couple different 1000s, 954, 929, and the first one being a 900RR in 1994 black/purple/yellow. I had a 1990 VFR 750 before that I got in the 12th grade of high school.

Big reasons posted already about the BMW bike, tough/resilient bike (road school's use is a confidence builder), as comfortable a riding position and seat as you can get in the class, etc. If you plan do to >1HR highway rides, plus for all these reasons it's the bike I'd choose. Both of the others are bad ass, and I honestly wouldn't buy either of these three due to me aging out on this class of bike, but the BMW would be it if I could (and I'd be a total bitch and add handlebar risers to it for even more comfort, and less "sport").

How much do you figure you will get for a written of GSXR?

I just spoke with claims, 11,200 pay out. More than I expected for my 2020 gsxr 750. Poor girl was ran over out front of my mom's place while I helped her move a mattress.

You know, I did look at a v4 base model at blackfoot for 30k, it really caught my interest, then I looked at aftermarket exhaust prices, pooped a bit, then said no thanks.

My Moto Guzzi tries to light itself on fire each time I start it, which isn't often as the Calgary dealer doesn't seem to stock even simply maintenance items like air and oil filters.
