I did not think to look at the land use bylaw. Good catch. I stand fully and totally corrected.

But slap a God awfully ugly tarp over it and call it a day...could you put a part over a rv and leave it on your driveway?

Until a different bylaw officer comes by and declares the tarp an illegal structure

    Maybe this to park in?
That's insane. I just had my busted up vehicle on the driveway for 3 months while it was in various forms of repair.

It’s been a bylaw for like 20 years.

Usually you don’t get called out unless you are being particularly ignorant but it’s pretty neighborhood specific as to enforcement.

Bylaw doesn’t just drive around looking for ugly vehicles.

why wouldn't you want to put a cover on it anyways so it doesn't look like shit? I have a half built car on my driveway, i covered it right away so my neighbors dont hate me lol i was googling this same thing a couple weeks ago though.

Is it too late to put a cover on it?

Wait, so if a car appears to be non-drivable it can't be parked on your driveway??? But A car that LOOKS okay with no motor or tranny is A-OK?
    "Tranny" is very exclusionary.

I am in full support of the bylaw. No offense to the OP but if you let that kind of stuff go, too many people would take it too far turning their front yards into junkyards.

Agreed. It's one of those things where it would be ok if people were reasonable. Unfortunately, people are not reasonable, and some would live in squalor.
