I found a place in town but apparently you have to book an appointment to try them on etc (they are a massage therapy place) and it didn't work for my timing so I just bucked up and ordered right from Xero in Denver. Thankfully the sizing was bang on my normal, and if you read the descriptions there are a couple models they say fit a bit small and to upsize half possibly.

    That is the Calgary place.

I texted, and picked up a pair from their place. Got the 360. Nice guy.
I had used the Five Fingers before which I liked in terms of comfort, light weight, and minimalist. They do get strange looks though.

Ok so I bought a cheap pair off Amazon to test the concept out before I spend some real cash.

I’ve had 5 operations on my right foot. Broken ankle, neuroma surgeries and a hallux limitus situation. My feet are a mess. My left foot has a painful neuroma that will need to come out. I usually walk in pain and at night my nerves are burning from the neuroma thing.

I’ve worn these 3 days now and I’m without the burning pain. Something is weird. Is this the new journey for me?

Do like. Vivo or xero? Which is the one to get?

I went with Xero because they seemed to be of respected quality and priced semi-reasonably, and I found an article breaking down foot shapes and different shoes that led me to think they would be a good start for me.

    Might be worth a read.

I would consider trying Vivo at some point too though. I think it will be more a preference and trial and error.

I wear Vivo's, but I agree with what Bob said, definitely more of a preference.

I picked up a pair of Merrell Vapor Glove 6 shoes the other day to try and wore them all day today and was quite pleased with them. Worth a look for a mesh barefoot training type shoe.
