Well, with the passing of my drift bitch, it gave me the push i needed to sell all of that off, and start on my 2jz s14 swap. Why 2jz you ask? heres my logic
-Bigger than an rb25 AND rb26
-Less trouble to put in than an rb26 IMO
-2jz is known to be a rock solid engine platform.
-Stands out a bit more
-Can be had from an Aristo for DIRT cheap. The only problem with Aristo motors, is that the harness is pretty much useless...but really, and RHD Toyota harness is, they dont reach in the lhd chassis. To make it useable in another swap we did on an sc300, i had to painstakingly cut and extend each wire in the harness, and that totally sucked. That was my reason for going with a complete standalone that i can wire independantly of the car. Less hassle.
So anyways, ive decided even tho i am a fabricator, its not worth my time to fabricate mounts when its already been done. The kit is fairly comprehensive, and comes with everything i need.
And Oh look what arrived the other day......
More pics and updates to come, as engine arrives and fab starts on exhaust and intercooler piping. As for turbo setup, i am planning on running the balls off the stock twins till they blow, or until next year, when i upgrade to a borg warner s300 and some other go fast goodies
Going to be running an r154 behind it with an act clutch for now, its all i need for the stock power and maybe just a bit more. Should be a fun job, i will keep you all posted.
thanks for looking.
