Have to say, $100K is a bargain if Lexus can pull this off without sharing the platform with BMW or Toyota.
Holy fucken shit that's sexy...

Still not used to that corporate Lexus grille....
Don't get me wrong, I'd rock this in a second. But God... that grille...
5.0L, 467hp.... And the styling is
I guess this is the replacement for the SC line then?
The grill has actually really grown on me. In the beginning I was like wtf are they thinking with that spindle grill. And to be honest, the more I see it more I like it.Originally posted by Kloubek

I'm surprised they didnt give it an F badge right off the get go with that engine. What kind of a monster are they planning for the F i wonder...

I can't stand tan interiors either. Ferrari folks seems to love Red/Tan combos.

Sounds like this is up against SL and 6 series. That color combo is in line of what the some customers expect.Originally posted by Swank

After watching the MotorTrend piece and how they let Randy Pobst comment on the last 2 test car, I have more respect for Lexus for finally trying.
Sounds like they do have to sort out the 10sp programming though but they still have a year to work out all the bugs.
This is one place where the spindle grill works ok imo. Also a little odd in the A pillar at some angles, overall a pretty sexy beast!
This engine should go across the Lexus lineup.
The FT-1 is just a hand built concept at this point. IF Toyota decides to put it into production, it would most likely share the LC500 platform for cost reasons, which was really engineered with the LC500 in mind. With that being said, many design elements from the FT-1 would have to change as the production version would have to make compromised to work with the LC500 platform. The LC500 was able to come out in production form looking the way it does because the designers pretty much dictated to the engineers what they want, and the engineers had to figure out how to make it work in a mass produced vehicle. The FT-1 won't have that luxury.Originally posted by carguy
It's pretty much the Lexus LUX version of the FT-1 on same chassis
Exotic looks FT for most likely less $ than the LC...
That's how I see it anyways.
