hey guys,

my beater car, a 89 plymouth colt 1.5L, has some cold idle problems, the car when u first start it up stumbles for a second or two and then idles ok. thats fairly ok, but then after 10 seconds or so the idle will sometimes fall down to 500 and stumble, if i try to add gas it sounds like the timing is massively retarded or somethign wierd like that and the rpms wont want to rise, if i jab at the gas at this point the car will stall, if i slowly add gas i can get it over the 1k rpm mark and then its drivable.

the condition doesnt last more then 10-20 seconds, and then the CEL goes back off and stays that way. no problems running when the car is warm, idles perfect.

any input?
thanks,
Marko
