Welding, as much as I like working with wood, it just doesn't pay as much as welding. Welding is also a damn good workout, slinging metal around. I'd like to do both but not as a job.
Carpentry. Finishing Carpentry to be precise. Because that's what I'm doing right now, and I love it.
Some people are funny. They spend money they don't have, to buy things they don't need, to impress people they don't like.
Carpentry. I have heard that there is minimal protection from the fumes when welding, and that many people who have worked as a welder for years are having lung problems. I hear the money is good for welding though. $100,000/year up north....
