    Counteract Electronic Rust Protection System

Provides total rust protection for the entire vehicle body, inside and out
Used by industry professionals in some of the harshest industrial conditions for 20 years (salt harvesting, mining, aviation, snow removal)
    Cost effective (one time purchase)
Environmentally friendly (chemical-free technology is completely harmless to the driver and vehicle)
Do you understand the words that are coming out of your mouth?

i think this is the sacrificial anode method. The best there is and no way for rust to form anywhere on the car. no matter how much salt water etc.

yes it deals with chemistry basically works like this.
Connect a metal to your frame.
    Run electricity through it.
The metal peice is called the sacrificial anode and will rust easier than any part of your frame. (Once the sacrifical anode is all rusted then you replace it.)
No part of car will rust because of the electricity that runs everywhere.

Boat hulls have been doing this for years and years.

that would depend on metal and how fast it rusts. Potentially it might never need replacing as long as you keep regular maint.

boats and ships can benefit from this unit because the underside of a water craft is one piece. Now for a car all the pieces aren't connected together, like the doors and trunk(weatherstrip), so this won't prevent the whole car from rusting.

I'm farily skeptical because there are several different kinds of metal on most cars, and they are certainly not one piece. I don't know how well this would work, but I suppose even if it slowed rust down, it would be worth it. Or you could just buy a German car, as they have been galvanizing both sides of their body panels for years and won't rust for a long long time

^^ I don't get this, wouldn't you have to repaint your entire vehicle if you covered it in a layer of another metal? Hah or have I totally forgotten what the whole sacrificial anode thing is? Also, wouldn't the top layer metal (which obviously would "rust" faster than your car body) look just as horrible as your car body when it rusts?

If your talking about the galvanizing, thats done at the factory and before painting. If your talking about the Canadain tire thing, I have no idea lol and I would like to see some independent testing on it.

You have to make sure that all the panels are connected in a way which will allow electricity to pass. You don't actually put current through the panels with a power source, but you hook it up to a block of magnesium which oxidizes faster than Aluminum and Steel so the electron transfer gets passed on to the magnesium and only when the magnesium is gone will the panels start to rust. Every boat motor has a block of magnesium on it. Works great

This isn't a new thing really.

    And yes it definately works.

I had a 1989 Chevrolet Silverado, and my friend had a 1989 GMC Sierra SLE. Exactly identical trucks basically except mine had the bow tie.

He had the cathodic protection on his vehicle and never got a spot of rust. Mine had nothing, and it rusted out in about 7 years.

Both of us had the trucks from new.

It doesn't cover your whole car. Think of those little silica sand packets that come in shoe boxes, same idea. The little package absorbs all the moisture; there's no need to fill the whole box up with it.

This seriously impresses the shit out of me. $300 is a hella small investment for what you get. :o

I've read before that this method of rust protection does not work...

scroll down to "Rust Bug Killer" and read it...
