Default JDM vehicle steering repair issue...any feedback appreciated

    Hey guys,
I have a 1990 jdm toyota sera. I have excessive play when i move the steering wheel. I traced the problem to a universal joint that connects the upper steering column to the lower steering column. To clarify, there are 2 parts to the steering columm, the upper part which runs from the steering wheel to under the dash, then under the dash it connects to the lower steering column which runs through the firewall to the steering rack. Now since parts are non existant for this car in North America is there any way to have the universal joined replaced, rebuilt etc to get rid of the play? Thanks guys
