And look at that, they just went on sale at canadian tire. Guess I'll be heading to the store todayOriginally posted by flipstah
Duratracs seem to be the choice.
I have Duratracs on my truck, I'm not even going to bother trying to run them in the winter. I'm going with some LT235/85/16 studded pizza cutters.
That's the thing that has me a little worried, 7 out of 10 comments say they're crazy good in our winters, but the other 3 seem to have nothing but bad experiences
I've ran Duratracs on my work truck for two winters. They're okay. I ran studs in them last winter but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. The tradeoff between it and a real winter tire is that it can still dig through deep snow.
Eventually someone is going to tell you that BFG all terrains are a good tire. Don't listen to them.

Yeah, well to make things easy I'm heading to Canadian Tire in an hour and buying Duratracs. I'll just try em out for myself before someone changes my mind haha.Originally posted by SKR

Hopefully they'll be here in time for next weeks trail run, if I can make it.
Anybody lose a Mitsubishi Pajero Right hand drive? It's in Mclean Creek.

I hope u guys pulled that out and reported it
Tires are going to be my first mod but not until spring as I'll be putting winters on soonish. Ideally in the future I want to run 33s which will require a good quality 3" lift from what I hear as well. And finally a winch and bumper down the road.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
Don't discount tires... just like racing, you need the right tires if you want it to do well off-road as well
Definitely get rid of the rugged fails on the Tacoma. A world of difference when I moved to Duratracs. Seem to be wearing well.
Mines an 05 with smaller than stock 255/65/17 Bridgestone Duehler A/T. I'm picking up some new 16" Toyota Steelies to put some 235/85/16 winter tires on to start with. I don't like the factory wheels and tires so I'll probably just kijiji them and keep the steelies.Originally posted by Brent.ff
