Snoop Dogg is now Snoop Lion

Over the past 19 years, Dogg has become a household name, which is why it came as a surprise earlier this month when Snoop announced he’s dropped the Dogg and replaced it with Lion following a religious awakening in Jamaica.

“I had to reinvent myself and be reincarnated,” the rapper, who will release his first reggae album, Reincarnated, and a film of the same name about his time in Jamaica, said in an email interview with the Post. “I’m sick of rapping. It’s stale to me and it’s tha same ol’ s–t all day everyday. It’s not a challenge to me anymore and I’m bored with it.”

Old news, but I don't see why he wouldn't do well changing it up to reggae. I heard one of his new songs on the hype machine the other day and it was actually decent.

a guy at work was talking about this a couple weeks ago- he basically said "his last rap album was so shitty that he quit rap to become a rasta-man. Don't try to sugarcoat it."

Personally, I can't stand either him or his voice so that's about where my review ends lol.

I had a hard enough time changing over from Doggy Dogg, now this? It'd be a shame to see him end his career on a shitty reggae album after the insanely talented career he's had. He should be remembered for greatness.
