C-Class vs. A-Class GOOGLE stock

Can someone explain the difference in C vs A class stock? Just voting ability or?

Google Inc. will be distributing one Class C share for each Class A share held to shareholders on the record date of March 27, 2014. Effective April 3, 2014, the symbol for Class A shares will also change from GOOG to GOOGL. As a result, shareholders on the record date will receive new Class A and Class C shares.

That would be in reference to funds (mutual and not shares.

I haven't looked at Googles setup but in most cases it is usually only voting rights.

Main reason is not to dilute Brin or Pages Class B shares essentially, If Im understanding things correctly.
