I need to get out there sometime soon, let me know if you have space when you go out.

The rest from this weekend. Would have loved more colour but the clouds do make for some really dramatic B&Ws.

Erik's recent shots motivated me to take a break from PS4 today and go outside.. everyone was busy, so I said screw it and went alone and it was so worth it. Just wandered around Bragg Creek / Elbow Falls - which I hadn't been to since the flood (and it was all wiped-out). First time taking the WRX out of the City and it was awesome! Empty roads + fog + music = would do again.

been without a digital camera since I came back from holidays, well the X100 is in the drawer but not feeling the 35mm focal length right now.
had a roll of Velvia 50 developed however I forgot to change the ISO from 400 to 50

That first one is awesome! It'd make a really strong square crop too. I think this is one of those situations where the foreground element just distracts from the awesomeness of the rest of the photo.

Thanks Ryan, I'm going back and forth on that same thought. Too bad that log is super ugly!

I don't think the log looks bad, it's just those trees poking through the mist look so good. They just seem to be the natural focal point.

Did some photos for a friend of mine:

i like it more as a portrait but then im on a portrait mode phase lately.
without the log and in square format, to me it would have nice colors but otherwise feels incomplete.

love it as it is except like what ryan pointed out, up close your eyes will end up leading to the trees. not usually a big fan of too much photo manipulation but i would clone them out

still one of my top fav of your shots though erik
