    Default fs: 160GB USB 2 External Drive

    Hi There,

    I've got a Maxtor 5000DV 160GB external drive for sale. It has USB and Firewire connections. I no longer have the original box it came with, but it comes with the drive, power-cord, and USB cable. 7200 RPM.

    $250 obo

    Not sure if it updated - I didn't look closely. Thought it was a 200, it's actually a 160GB drive

    Yup...it just shows up as another drive on the computer. With USB 2 it's damn quick too.

    Yeah it does support firewire...

    I could be wrong, but I believe USB 2 is actually quicker then firewire

    USB 2.0 = 480MBPS
    Firewire = 400MBPS

    I'll throw in my USB 2.0 PCI card as well, considering I won't have a use for it once the drive is gone.
