Default Brake Caliper Rebuild - Rust/Refinishing Issues?

I have a set of Calipers that I'm rebuilding. The front left side seems fine, but the right has a fair amount of corrosion build up in the cylnder walls. They are cast iron 4 pot fixed type Calipers.

Any idea on how to get rid of the rust? Can I drop the pair off and try to get them hot tanked somewhere?

Should I just bathe them in a bath of brake fluid and hope it eats away at the corrosion? (Paint too would be a bonus...since id like to refinish them)

I'll need to have them blasted if need be, as I plan on having them powder coated. Sand, media, etc?

    Any input would be appreciated!

I'd leave it if I were you. You have a higher chance of doing damage to the piston boot. You damage those and you're buying new calipers. I don't think they sell replacement caliper boots. Just new boots to cover the caliper pins.

You could take a plastic or aluminum brush on a drill and see how much comes out. Maybe some white Scotch Brite? (safe for metals) Then I would soak them in something aggressive and safe for iron.

I personally would toss those and upgrade. Once the cylinder wall is compromised maintaining a seal will be hard.
