I've been there a few times (mostly with clients before hockey games).
I find their food rather mediocre and quite over priced. Its also not that nice compared to what you can get for the same price at other restaurants. Ed's is also supposed to be famous for their wings but they are $10 for 20 pretty little boring wings.
The wings are pretty good but yes, very expensive. They have these Chernobyl wings that are crazy hot. Overall, their main gig is (was) the pre-hockey game crowds. I have to imagine they're hurting this year.
George likes his Kung Pao spicy!
I love that place, regardless of what the wings cost, ill still go there
Hmmm, thanks guys -- I checked their prices and 75 cent wings are silliness no matter how good they are.
Any suggestions for a good all around restaurant that is not ethnic specific?
The wings there are unreal, ya they are pretty pricey, but shit, so good and juicy. WOW i love them

What a terrible experience that was, review to come.
I will not waste too much time getting into how terrible the food was -- the gravy was corn starch and brown coloured gelatin, the lobster was like eating a 5 year old hankook tire, the prime rib was 70% fat, yorkshire pudding was like eating chewing gum, carrots were filthy, presentation looked liked the work of a blind 7 year old, calamari was horrid and the tzatski was yellow, caesar salad was lettuce and kraft dressing.
nuff said, I should have known better, I was forewarned.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT waste your money at this shithole.

Just an update i just got back from Ed's and sorry to say nothing has changed.
Same old pigeon legs and wings.
Brown spotted celery sticks.
Slimy carrot strips
Plus side:
Service was V.G
Sauces on the wings very tasty.
Beer was cold.
If they would buy some bigger wings and better produce it would be a great place to go.(Better yet sell the wings by the pound and actually get a pound)
Wing quality 2/10 (due to lack of size)
Flavour 8/10
Service 9/10
Pricing 4/10 (to much for to little)

Eds was good circa 1980's
I still like the wings but that is all I will order. Wings and Beer.
Hit up the Lions den, just three doors down on the Saddledome side. Awesome schnitzel, and cheap beers.
