I used Autostitch to piece it together:
http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html

And it was shot a 28mm.

I snapped a few pics in Kelowna on my last day - technically the pictures where taken in August.

Do you know of any good Windows software for that? I tried LensFix for Mac that works very well, but haven't found anything for Windows yet.

The damage was pretty bad. Here's a local news story. (http://chbc.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=11631)

I left pretty quick; I spent about 5 minutes at the scene. There where several hundred rubberneckers (like me) and the RCMP where having a tought time directing traffic in the area.

1Avatar, there's alot of artifacting in your jpg image. this is prolly due to compression. what software are you using? i think you can squeeze out more detail if you increase the jpeg quality.

nice shot, btw. i like the angle and the background is fresh. what camera are you using?

Ya, I realized that after the upload, went from almost 3MB full size file down to 55kb after resizing, I just used ACDSee to resize it and watermark it - I didn't realize until then that it chose "minimum quality".

It's a Canon Rebel SLR, stock kit lens, I still haven't got a clue what 90% of the menus/features are so it's gonna be a long learning curve :)

I named it colt.

I know it's not an exceptional shot, but it was just me dicking around holding a cat in a hat in my left hand, and some little point-and-shoot deal that came with her printer in my right...

Well, I didn't do much photography this month, but I liked this one from this afternoon. It started out as an experiment to see how long I could make a sponge burn in high wind and rain, but it looked too cool to pass up for photos.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v698/BerserkerCatSplat/fire001.jpg

Note: If you want to set something on fire for photos, and don't want it to go out, soak it in Laquer Thinner. The sponge burned for almost 20 minutes without any added fuel.
