I WAS TOLD BY SOMEONE THAT I CAN LOWER MY TURBO.
MY TURBO KICKS IN AT ABOUT 2500RPM'S TO 3000RPM'S I WAS TOLD THAT I CAN CHANGE IT TO 4500RPM'S.
HOW DO I DO THAT.

THE REASON WHY I WANNA DO THIS IS SO I CAN SAVE MORE GAS.

BECAUSE IT COSTS ME ABOUT $40 FOR 160KMS.

IF ANYONE ELSE KNOWS WAYS TO GET MORE KMS LET ME KNOW PLEASE.

i don't revv to much.

but theres some kind of a turn up and low screw it the engine.

just get an electronic boost controller such as an apexi and lower your gear based boost down to like 3-4 psi and you will run less boost and have no power but u will most likely save gas, they are about 500 bucks though so offset your cost on the boost controller and see if it will save you much, i spend about 70 bucks for 250-300 km but is it worth it YES :D fairlady>any turbo car :D

get a bigger hot side for your turbo. switch to a bigger AR and you will not see boost until much later. a new turbine side is only $150.

no, mine is because i have a garrett turbo as opposed to a mitsubishi turbo which most talons have. if you have a mitsubishi turbo, good luck finding a bigger hot side...

YO I KNO URE PROBLEM. I USED TO HAVE SHITTY MILEAGE IN MY OLD RIDE WHICH RAN 11S. I HERD FROM A MECHANIC THAT ALL U GOTA DO IS PORT THE ENGINE WHICH MAKES IT BOOST SLOWER. YOU PORT IT BY SANDBLASTING IT. TAKE OFF YOUR AIR FILTER AND GET A FRIEND TO HOLD THE REVS AT LIKE 3000 GRAND AND THEN SLOWLY POUR A BAG OF SAND IN. MAKE SHURE YOU POUR IT IN SLOWLY AND MAKE SURE THE REVS ARE AT LEAST 3000 GRAND, 4000 GRAND IS BETTER, CUZ IF THE REVS ARE TOO SLOW THEN YOU COULD SNAP THE PISTON RINGS.

its a talon tsi awd turbo with like few more mods.

but i try driving it as good as i can like no revving no take offs at the line.

my turbo kicks in at about 2500rpm's to 3000rpm's.

i got a fuel injection it gave me about 20kms more for a full tank.

the sanding thing how do i do that, wouldn't this fuck up my car.

can you give more details about this sanding technic.

You had a Carbed turbo talon? Should have held on to that, sounds pretty rare.

And the sanding they are talling you about is crap, you have to use glass beads or else you will port too much, glass is much smoother than sand and it fully burns in your engine so there is no clean up.

Ok Everyone on here is basically screwing with you. You can not adjust the rpm your turbo spools up at but you can make the wastegate open sooner which will bring your boost levels down, which in turn will use less gas to operate properly. You can adjust the wastegate with a manual boost controller which will run about $100. Ignore the fancy electronic ones, they are no better for your cause.

just disconnect the W/G flapper...let it flap, flap, flap in the wind...no boost should equal no gas issues...

If I were you, I'd see if your FPR is somehow busted and see if any sensors like the o2 sensor need replacing.
