Its time to sell my baby as I need something bigger :( .

1997 Hyundai Tiburon FX
248,XXX KM

Very well maintained (Redline MT90 in the tranny and Valvoline Synthetic in the engine) & never raced. Engine uses very little oil (under 1 litre between oil changes). I have always done a good job of maintaining my cars and there are no half-assed repairs or work. Timing belt was done recently, so you should have at least another 70,000 KM before a new one is needed. A nice, clean car. It definitely does not look or run like it has that much mileage.

Gets 30 mpg in the city if you baby it. Around 25 mpg if you have some fun (i.e. shift at 6,000 rpm).

Just spent $900 in paint touch-ups.

$6,000.

The good: I've spent around $3,000 on modifications and extras (not including labour/install costs - add at least another $1,000 for that):

Key Performance 4-2-1 stainless steel header
Custom 2 1/4" exhaust with high-flow cat, Vibrant muffler by Calgary Muffler
High performance spark plug wires (Aurora)
KVR cross-drilled rotors all around
KVR carbon fibre brake pads (with an extra set of front pads)
Stainless steel braided brake lines
K&N Airfilter
Momo shift Knob
Kenwood cassette deck with trunk mounted 6 CD changer
Aftermarket alarm with glass sensors and immobilizer
Studded Hankook winter tires mounted on steel rims
Brand new Fusion HRi tires purchased this spring
2 sets of aftermarket headlamps which have never been used (Toucan Eurolight Xenon bulbs)

The bad: Could use a new windshield (quoted $250 from Crystal Glass).

Pics to follow.

Bump again. Will be in this week's Autotrader & should be online now.

Is no one interested in a nice Tiburon? If you are interested and think the price is too high, make me an offer. The worst I can do is say "no"...

New price $7,500 OBO. I'm pretty much giving away my mods at this price. If you are worried about the mileage, you can buy a used engine for less than the cost of my exhaust alone

Anyways, I just bought my new car - a 2003 Volvo V40 wagon. This one needs to go. Make me an offer.

Price drop - $6,000!

Do an autotrader search, the only Tib's in Alberta in this price range are completely stock and have almost as much mileage. At this price, you are getting all my mods & extras for free!

Mods don't add any value to a car anyways.

Power door locks, windows, etc. (not the seat though & no sunroof). Actually, this was standard even for the base model.

A/C - If you are looking for a first gen. Tib, watch out for this as it was an option even on the upper range FX model and there are a fair number of cars out there that don't have it.

Bump.

When you put the winter tires on, this car is an amazing winter car. No problems with starting at -35 and can tackle pretty much any road conditions out there.

Bump for the cheapest Tiburon in Alberta!

I just did an autotrader search and all the cars are at least $2,500 more than this one.
