insurance went up!

my insurance went up today to an astronomical $7000 a year.
because of one ticket and one late payment. now im forced to sell my civic and maybe my rx7:banghead: :(


anybody know some decent cars for like 5 grand??? that way i can pay it off in a year aand dont have to put collison on my car.

and just to let some of you know. my collision is 4200 a year.

it has nothing to do with having it stock or not, its whether or not an insurance company will give me a decent rate. id be happy to pay 4 grand a yr. but come on 7000. thats almost the worth of my car:eek:

shiiet.. thats canadian.. is 400-500 US a month about the same as u do? my moms gettin ripped MAJOR and til the 6 months is over she cant switch.. currently whats on her insurance is 1 minor accident she didnt even make (someone claimed she hit his porche's bumper in the parking lot and called the cops) and then a speeding ticket for doin 44 in a 25 zone. and thats her as major driver and me as minor driver...

For example......my current car will cost me $2200/year vs. $3700/year with AllState! I can't wait for this year to be over! :D

Really? I should look into that in 2 years. I have 1 at-fault accident and 2 tickets on my record (the tickets will clear this summer though) but have never made a claim. My insurance renews in June, so we'll see what they're gonna do. Not to mention, I need to raise my liability to $2M now :thumbsdow

I was quoted the same thing for insurance on my truck. so instead I went to "Pinnacle Ins." in sunridge mall. they offer $250,000. coverage instead of a milliion. with PL PD, I pay just under $4 G.

...it's worth a shot.

Call Primmum Insurance man. I only paid $110.00 a month for my civic with 2 major tickets. My Bro has two at fault accidents and he only pays $166 a month on his Jeep. Both Full coverage and we're 20 and 19:thumbsup:

250 000 liability is pretty weak. I think the min anybody should have is 1 mil. Think of this, if some guy w/ 250 000 liability comes and tbones you real bad and you spend the next year in the hospital, except he cant pay all you bills under his insurance cause he only has 250 000 liability. Then when you get better and want to sue him, he has no coverage anymore cause his insurance money is gone into you hospital bills. So whatever you get comes out of his pocket (which will probalby be very little considering hes only paying for 250 000 liability).

Bad story huh, well now try this, switch the roles and you hit someone and cant pay their bills with insurance and become screwed for life.

well i think im going to keep it and go under my moms policy which brings it down to 100 bucksa a month:clap:

then i can double my car payments and probably have it done in a yr. or wait til my car is done im july and then start doubling payments.

my insurance should be 2700 at TD insurance, nice little 1000 dollar drop, even when i tried to make my record look worse than it really is, it still quoted me 2700, so i know where im going
