1989 honda crx si - yellow
THE GOODS
-JDM B16a engine (160 hp), roughly 60,000 kms since the swap. engine had 60,000 ish at time of swap.
-223,000 kms on the chassis.
-Car weighs in at 920kg on a full tank
-JDM front and rear strut bars
-MSD ignition
-MSD timing controller
-Spoon sports 10lbs flywheel
-Centerforce dual friction clutch
-Apexi VAFC
-Apexi N-1 muffler w/ custom piping
-Fluidyne Aluminum high flow radiator
-AEM cold air intake
-Suspension Technique 1.2” drop Street Series springs
-Tokico HP gas struts (blues)
-14"- steelies with nexxen winter tires(roughly 80% tread left
-91 rear tails(bit darker)
-power sunroof, power locks, alarm, 7 color indiglo guages, ek center armrest
Interior
-obx short shifter
-Momo 3 spoke leather steering wheel
i have also an ef siR cluster that i havnt installed, that would be extra.
-all engine components replaced during swap. from timing belt, distributor, axles, water pump, and alternator.
-sythetic oil changes every 4000kms. coolant changed every year. Trany fluid just changed, also done regularly.
premium fuel always.
-engine runs strong, does not burn any oil, no leaks, etc..
-this car has been well maintained by myself, as well as the previous owner
THE NOT SO GOODS
-was a little bubbling on the rear fenders (typical crx) i removed that part but there's a slight distortion in paint color, nobody has even noticed it until i show them where i blended the paint. the rust has just started to come back, but it's pretty minor compared to a lot of crx's out there.
-front bumper has paint chips from highway driving
-no rear carpet, or cargo cover, or lockbox. i have access to them if the buyer desires.
-4th gear popout. 4th gear sometimes jumps out of gear, you simply clutch in, and put in in again. it's annoying, but it's not all the time. the car still drives fine, all the other gears are good. some peolpe might want to change the tranny out, if so, i also have acces to a b16 tranny with lsd. or a b18 ls tranny(this being the cheaper of the two)
ok, all this being said, i figure that this is a reasonable price, considering the other modifications done to the car.
4500 firm
i'm the 4th owner. most work was done by the previous owner and had to switch vehicles as he was an accountant. he had
receipts totaling over 18,000 over the last 5 years. Accident free.
i can also swing some deals on any extra parts for the new owner, i have a friend in bc who owns a web-based aftermarket parts company.
